# Design was never meant to stop at the plan ## Story option Design was never meant to stop at the plan. Designers have always shaped the thing itself. They touch, test, adjust, and keep going until the work gives back the feeling they intended. Software broke that lineage. It turned designers into planners of products instead of shapers of products. Mode gives them the product back. ## Notes - Preserves Alex's current correction: the story is about designers shaping software itself, not only functional product editing. - Keeps the enemy on handoff culture, translation loss, static representation, and files/proxies replacing the product. - Do not frame engineers as the villain; use the launch spine to keep engineering review in the loop.
